Cameron has been recognized by AMA Houston for its 2011 Marketer of the Year Best of Category Award, AMA Houston announced on Friday.
Cameron, which got the nod in the Manufacturing category, is one of 34 category winners for outstanding marketing achievement. They will be honored on March 12 at the Alley Theatre, where the 2011 Marketer of the Year will be announced. The Houston chapter of AMA is among the largest -- and most competitive -- chapters in North America.
"We are especially pleased about working with Cameron on innovative projects," said Axiom president Tom Hair. "It has been consistently rewarding over the years." Axiom has collaborated with Cameron's marketing team since 2004.
One of the company's latest campaigns, "Discover Cameron," is a multichannel presentation that was unveiled at last year's OTC in Houston. The project brought together nine divisions into a cohesive marketing voice that has changed the way Cameron markets itself ever since.
Last November, the "Discover Cameron" campaign was honored for Best of Category (Interactive Presentation, Online Advertising, Package Design and Illustration) and Best of Show at BMA Houston's Lantern Awards.
